On January 19-20, the first test of the first pilot zone of the State System of issuance, registration and control of passport and visa documents of the new generation (System) was successfully carried out in Kaliningrad. The main purpose of the System is to improve the national safety of Russia, to prevent illegal migration and to enhance the efficiency of the border control.

The tests of the System checked up the operation of program-technical tools including those performing control over passport and visa documents of the new generation, developed by GazIntech. The aviation check point of admission across a state border “Khabarovo” is equipped with the means of new generation documents control.
